Marion 60 Event Update: January 2010

Planning for the Marion Labs 60th Anniversary is in full swing.  We are in the process of working out many of the logistics such as locations, timing, food and hotel arrangements.  To give everyone a heads-up, here is a tentative schedule of events (current as of January 12th, 2010):

Friday, June 4th, 2o1o

Tailgate Party and Royals Game – start around 5:00 pm

Saturday, June 5th, 2010

Preview tour of the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts – start around 10:30 am

Gala Reception and Entrepreneur Showcase Kauffman Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership -
start around 4:00 pm

Calling All Volunteers!

Please consider volunteering during the Anniversary weekend.  Chances are that we will need help with greeting and checking everyone in, providing directions and a myriad of other tasks.  If you are interested in joining the Marion 60 Volunteer Corps, please send us a note via e-mail or through the contact us page on this web site.

Hold The Dates!

Under the “Event Updates” category you will find news and announcements regarding the 60th Anniversary of the founding of Marion Laboratories in 1950.   As event details develop, we will post them here.  Events are planned for the weekend of June 4th – June 5th, 2010. Planned activities include:

Royals Ball Game and Tailgate Party  at Kauffman Stadium

Gala Reception at the Kauffman Center For Entrepreneurial Leadership
and the adjacent Kauffman Memorial Garden

More opportunities to mix and mingle, to share memories and to reconnect are in the works.
